Ketamine Therapy & SSRIS to Treat Anxiety



ATLANTA – Jewell Gooding is one of them the 40 million adults in the US dealing with an anxiety disorder. In the time since her original diagnosis, she has refined the most effective tools for managing her anxiety.

“I didn’t understand it. For me it was just my personality. It’s just who I was as a character and as a person,” Gooding said. “There are times when my anxiety becomes overwhelming and triggers my depression. At that point, I have to take medication to somehow relieve the symptoms.”

Experts often see that combined treatment methods are the best approach to managing symptoms and triggers.

“All of the literature would say that the best treatment for all psychiatric disorders, but especially depression and anxiety, is the combination of therapy and medication,” says Dr. Jessi Gold, an assistant professor of psychiatry at Washington University in the St. Louis School of Medicine, explains.
